Tip of the Week: What Happens if you get Sand on your Gear

Here is a tip of the week for you as this happened to me just a few weeks ago were I was on the Greens (Golf Course) shooting with my Panasonic HPX300 and the golfer hit the ball out of a bunker and it got all over my camera.

Now first you would think a can of dust off in which you are correct but when your trying to get sand out of your lens you want to be cautious so I used both
Dust Off
Big Blower
Yes dust off is the best way to go but I like to use the big blower cause I can get in much closer and I know it does not have any CO2 that can damage my lens if it starts to get low so I always have both of these in my camera bags.

So the tip of the day is to have both items in your bag and go over the entire camera (especially your lens) from top to bottom and in every crack to make sure you get all of the sand out.
